After the Last Supper, Jesus met with some of his apostles on the Mount of Olives, Jesus went and prayed.
Judus betrayed Jesus and told the Romans where he was, they arrested him.
He told his disciples not to fight back, he said to the Sadducees “You come here now in the cover of darkness when I have been in the Temple every day”.
Trial before the Sanhedrin
(Holy Thursday Morning)
In the court Jesus said that he was the Son of God and he was found guilty of blasphemy.
But the Sanhedrin didn’t have the power to execute anyone so they took Jesus to the Roman Governor – Pontius Pilot.
On Trial before Pontius Pilot
Jesus was asked on trial if he was the King of the Jews, to which he responded 'you believe so'.
Pilot thought he was harmless and innocent but he was pressured by all the crowds shouting to punish Jesus.
He didn’t want a riot and so he accused Jesus of treason.
Jesus was sent to be crucified as a result.

(On Sunday Morning)
Easter Sunday A group of women made ointment with oils and spices and went to put it on Jesus’ body as a sign of respect. (Mary, Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Salome and Mary the mother of James).
When they arrived at the tomb the stone was rolled back and Jesus’ body was gone.
A messenger from God came and said “Jesus is not here, he has risen from the dead, do not be afraid”.
They rushed to tell the angry and scared disciples the good news. They didn’t believe them so Peter went and checked for himself.
Later on Mary Magdalene went back to the tomb crying, Jesus appeared but he looked different.
She was happy now, Jesus told her to go and tell everyone about the good news of the resurrection.
After the resurrection Jesus was transformed, he was different yet somehow everything about him was the same.
Jesus appears after the resurrection:
Two followers of Jesus were near Jerusalem talking about how Jesus was a waste of time.
A stranger (Jesus) caught up with them and told them that the death of Jesus was meant to happen and how everything in the Old Testament points towards the death and resurrection of Jesus.
They invited the stranger to stay the night in their house. At meal time the stranger blessed the bread, broke it and gave it to them. Suddenly they realised it was Jesus, the stranger disappeared and they rushed to tell Jerusalem the good news.
